I think most of the points #1&2 were due to how the map laid out for that game. The glades ended up being in unhelpful locations though they were used occasionally but not as often as I use them in my solo games (map permitting). The whole problem with #2 really boiled down to the one player not adding that many cards to his deck because he was taking keeps, which kept increasing his hand size, which obviously sped through his deck. If Norewas had had 2 keeps, he probably would have made it through his deck more quickly, but still, if you're at 28 cards or so while others are around 20-22, you'll have cards undrawn most rounds. Wounds added to that mix really slow you down if you can't get rid of them.

That should probably be another multiplayer tip: Divide the keeps and Mage Towers up so everyone adds cards and gets to draw more cards per round (when they're around keeps obviously).

And yes, your ending point is absolutely horrible play, and I would have never let it happen in our game. The whole wound taking thing has to be balanced with how everyone else is doing though. Sure, one wound isn't terrible with even 2 not being the end of the world, but if no one else is taking one either due to easier enemies or great fighting draws? Then, it is terrible because you'll fall further behind especially with one player flying through his deck.

We'll see how it goes next time as the gang might get back together to celebrate TableTop Gaming Day on March 30th.
