The night spell Veil of Mist says:All you Units gain all resistances. Your hero ignores the first Wound from enemies this turn. Also ignore any additional effects of that wound.
If the enemy has a brutal attack (deals twice as much damage as its attack) which wounds my hero, does this mean I ignore the brutal effect entirely, or do I consider it as if the attack were split into a non-brutal component matching my armor level and the remainder is still brutal?
For example: the enemy has brutal attack 7, and my armor is 3. In the first interpretation, I ignore the brutal effect (7 vs. 3) and the first wound, and take 2 wounds. In the second interpretation, I ignore brutal for the first 3 points of damage (3+4×2 = 11 vs. 3) and the first wound, and take 3 wounds.
