The price is 39.99 now but it was 34.99 when I ordered it (35.99 with shipping)which seems quite reasonable. I agree that 40 is a bit high...
Magierspiele (my go-to German online retailer) has it listet as 44ish eruo (excluding shipping) which is pretty much 35ish pounds.
