Matt, what you call gamey, I call strategy. Planning ahead, luring my powerful enemy into false moves, using my reconnaissance ability to know where the city is - all of this makes me feel like a warrior leading a band of rag tag forces using every skill I have.

Plus, how is controlling where that last tile is placed any more gamey than all of the advice I have read about how to ensure proper tile placement in the conquest scenario - make sure it is near a tower for maximum hand capacity, make sure you flip that first brown core tile early to boost the Unit offer, etc. I don't find any of that gamey either, but it is the same idea, no?
