There are some rules written on the aid cards only, which you will not find neither on the rulebook nor on the walkthrough. The author stated somewhere that they were meant to complement the rulebooks and they're not strictly just player aids.
Besides, even if I find more useful downloading some users's made reminder sheet on the BGG file section, I just love to see the aids on the table. And I found that when playing with new players they are of great help towards they're "rules independency" :P
So, thumbs up for one sided better player aids for me!
