A few weeks ago, I posted a thread inquiring whether anyone would be interested in starting a Mage Knight: Lost Legion PBF league. Usually the hardest part of getting a PBF game started is finding a moderator, so the idea behind the league was that everyone would take turns moderating. Get four free games, for the low low price of moderating one!

The group that came together was the following:

If you want to play and are not one of the above four gentlemen, fear not! You have but to take initiative, and a game will form around you. There are enough extra volunteers between that thread and this one that another league can come together, if one hero would but be bold enough to grab the reins.

I volunteered to moderate the first game to get this party started, but first, there two things we have to figure out:

1) Will we play the games in separate threads, or in one ridiculously giant thread?

2) How will we decide what scenarios to play?

I propose that each game get its own thread, both for easier reference later, and so that we can can keep this thread intact as a "headquarters" thread where we can discuss the meta issues of the league itself.

For #2, I was thinking that one elegant solution might be to simply have each player in the league present one scenario and set of parameters that they'd like to play. When it's your turn to moderate, you randomly roll for one of the *other* scenarios than the one you picked.

For example, Pawel could say, "I want to play Dungeon Lords with PvP and the Rampage rules on," and this would guarantee that that's what one of the five games would be, and Pawel would definitely not moderate that one.

Of course, we are all invited, as gentlemen, to take into account each others' preferences when putting forward our suggestions, such as if someone hates Dungeon Lords you can be nice and not pick that, etc. So if there's anything you really dislike, you should state that as well.

But those are just my opinions. Josiah, Seppel, Pawel, and Jack -- I look forward to hearing your inputs, and then we shall be off to the races!
